About

My name is Steinar Valade-Amland.

I trained as a market economist, and after more than 30 years of professional practice, I have accumulated extensive and valuable experience from a wide range of industries and manegerial roles within marketing and sales, communication, PR and advocacy. In 1997, I entered the design industry as an account director, and later as CEO. of one of Denmark's leading brand design agencies. Three years later - in 2000, I had the privilege of embarking on the role of spokesperson for the Danish design community, as CEO of the associ-ation of Danish Designers - parallel with holding numerous honorary positions.

My primary role today - after stepping down from Danish Designers in 2012 - is to help organisations,  leaders and management teams to establish the best possible baseline for innovation, business development and change processes - through stakeholder engagement and facilitated processes, organisational learning and co-creation. Despite having contributed to the development of several models and theories regarding how to optimize development and change processes, I'm rather agnostic when it comes to the choice of  methods, but design thinking, and processes inspired by design methodologies, are part of my DNA after    30 years in and closely connected to the industry.

More than a decade's experience with fostering change for the better

Those are the companies and organizations that I had the pleasure of working for since 2012 - from small, clearly defined one-off assignments to lengthy, strategically anchored partnerships. Hoping to be able to continue some of them, while adding new and challenging clients to the list...
